James Nutting Animation
 2D Animator and Character Designer 

James Nutting is a 2D Character Animator and Designer, graduating with a BA from the University of Newport in 'Animation Direction and Production'. James has worked on many award winning as well as BAFTA and OSCAR nominated animation projects ranging from: short films, T.V specials, commercials and feature films.

James specialises in 2D Character Animation, with experience using a variety of techniques such as traditional pencils and paper, digital drawn and rigged puppets/digital cut-out. Having such a passion and enthusiasm for traditional techniques, James has been approached by various Directors to bring his distinctive animation style to their film productions. ​​

James specifically focuses on dynamism within the animated form and has been praised for his competence in characterful gesture, smooth/fluid movement and comprehensive understanding of fundamental animation principles.
